Ororon Build Guide

Ororon’s Role and Skills

Ororon is an Electro off-field DPS specializing in Electro-Charged teams. This primarily comes from his A1 passive where he’ll trigger “Electric Induction” using his Nightsoul points whenever an enemy is hit by Electro-Charged or Nightsoul-aligned attacks. “Electric Induction” deals Electro DMG based on 160% his ATK, can hit up to 4 nearby enemies, consumes 10 Nightsoul points, and can be triggered once every 1.8s.

This can happen even when he’s off-field and add this with his E & Q that provides AOE attacks, its pretty obvious that he was designed to be ran in EC teams.

Artifact set

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City_Item_Beast_Tamer's_Talisman
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City (4)

Ororon’s universal best set since he can easily trigger Electro-Charged to provide Elemental DMG Bonus for Hydro and Electro units in his team. Although his personal damage isn’t as high, it generally leads to higher team damage putting it ahead of anything else.

Item_Reckoning_of_the_Xenogenic
Obsidian Codex (4)

Ororon’s go-to DPS set. Provides DMG Bonus and 40% CRIT Rate when fully utilized. He can use this if he’s acting as the primary On-Fielder. Note that this set only works On-Field, meaning it isn’t useful for his Off-Field playstyle.

Gilded Dreams Flower
Gilded Dreams (4)

Another viable 4-piece, notably in AoE where he’s able to trigger Electro-Charged frequently. Unfortunately, it isn’t that strong for his personal damage and acts as a substitute to use while you prioritize getting 4p Scroll.

Thundering Fury Flower
Thundering Fury (4)

A niche option if playing him On-Field as it lets him have multiple Skill damage instances and longer uptime on his 1st Ascension passive. Even then, compared to other sets its value isn’t as high.

Weapon

Weapon_The_First_Great_Magic_2nd
The First Great Magic (5âś©)

FGM is one of Ororon’s top weapons for his personal damage in Double Electro teams. Even when Solo Electro, it’s still competitive with other 5-star CRIT options. It provides nice Base ATK, CRIT DMG, and stackable ATK% that is overall very nice for him.

Polar Star (5âś©)

Polar Star is generally Ororon’s top choice across all teams as it gives Elemental Skill and Burst DMG in its passive. Additionally, he can make use of 2-3 Ashen Nightstar stacks, giving him extra ATK%. Overall just a nice weapon and if you have it, use it.

Elegy for the End
Elegy of the End (5âś©)

Elegy is a nice supportive weapon in teams with ATK-scaling DPS’s that can also make use of the EM boost. In most – if not all – of Ororon’s teams, the value comes from the ATK increase rather than the EM. The Energy Recharge base stat also gives Ororon more flexibility to Burst every rotation in Solo Electro teams.

Alley Hunter (4âś©)

Alley Hunter is one of Ororon’s top 4-star weapon choices. It provides ATK% in its base stat and a ramping DMG% Bonus effect in its passive. Post-first rotation, Ororon can benefit from max passive stacks consistently and compete with the some of the 5* CRIT weapons.

Weapon_Chain_Breaker_2nd
Chain Breaker (4âś©)

Chain Breaker at higher refinements becomes another strong 4-star weapon option. Since nearly every team he’s in features at least 3 different elemental types, he can easily make full use of its passive effect, gaining lots of ATK and some extra EM.

Song of Stillness (4âś©)

Yet another strong 4-star weapon option, although more conditional as it requires him to be healed for the passive effect to trigger.

Weapon_Range_Gauge_2nd
Range Gauge (4âś©)

Despite only being able to benefit from 1 stack due to his low field time, the ATK% base stat and stackable ATK% and DMG Bonus this weapon provides is still valuable to Ororon. This is especially the case with more refinements. It also aligns well with Ororon’s Skill CD of 15s.

Talent

C0-C6

Burst (Q) > Skill (E) > Normal Attack (NA)

Ororon’s Burst (Q) provides off-field AOE DMG, taunt enemies and instantly giving him 40 Nightsoul points making it one of his most important talents.

Stat and substat

Sand: ATK%

Goblet

Goblet: Electro DMG

Circlet

Circlet: Crit Rate / DMG

  1. Crit Rate / DMG
  2. ATK%
  3. Elemental Mastery
  4. Energy Recharge

EM is not a stat to prioritize for Ororon – or basically any Hydro/Electro damage dealer that doesn’t have abilities/talents that scale with EM. Rather, it’s better to aim for EM as a substat while prioritizing ATK and DMG% on his main stats.
