Gaming Build Guide (Patch 4.4)

Gaming character from Genshin

Gaming’s Role and Skills

Gaming is a Pyro DPS character whose kit revolves around spamming Enhanced Plunging Attacks through his Elemental SKill (E). Activating his E causes him to leap into the air and grants him an enhanced version of Plunging Attack. These Plunging Attacks will cause him to consume his own HP so he’ll rely on his Burst (Q) and teammates for healing.

Because his kit relies heavily on Plunging Attacks, Xianyun would be an essential for him as she buffs the Plunging Attack of her team. Hoyoverse knows this hence why both of them debut on the same banner together.

Artifact set

Marechaussee Hunter FlowerMarechaussee Hunter (4)

Marechaussee will be Gaming’s Best-in-Slot (BiS) due to how much free Crit Rate you’ll get from using his E. With a 6s cooldown on his E, he can easily gain the max 36% Crit Rate while doing his combo.

Crimson Witch FlowerCrimson Witch of Flames (4)

If Gaming attacks are focused on Elemental reaction this is a great set albeit still losing slightly behind Marechaussee. On Vape and Overload Gaming team, his priority should be EM for stat priority.

Crimson Witch of Flames (2)
ATK set (2)

This combo set is a good option if you still don’t have a full piece Marechaussee yet. Very straightforward 2 piece combo that provides unconditional buffs towards Gaming personal DPS.

Weapon

Serpent Spine (4✩)

Assuming full stacks, Serpent Spine will be Gaming’s best weapon as it provides one of the highest damage buff onto his personal DPS. Gaming does not have any 5-star weapon with passive that applies to him hence why Serpent Spine is currently his Best-in-Slot (BiS).

Tidal Shadow (4✩)

The craftable 4-star claymore ‘Tidal Shadow’ would be Gaming best F2P weapon as it comes with a huge ATK buff for its secondary stat and passive.

Mailed Flower (4✩)

On Vape and Overload Gaming build, the Mailed Flower is his best weapon as it comes with a lot of EM from its stat and passive. Unfortunately this claymore can only be obtained from the Windblume’s Breath Event.

Beacon of the Reed Sea
Redhorn Stonethresher
Wolf’s Gravestone
(5✩)

All decent options that can serve as a great stat stick for Gaming as there is no particular 5-star weapon with passive that suits him.

Talent

C0-C6

Skill (E) > Burst (Q) > Normal Attack (NA)

Gaming’s main source of damage is from his Enhanced Plunging Attacks from his E and this remains true even at C6. This Enhanced Plunging Attack is separate from NA and follows his E multiplier so his E will take priority over any other talent.

Main stat and substat

Sand: ATK%
Goblet: Pyro DMG%
Circlet: Crit Rate / DMG

  1. Crit Rate / DMG
  2. ATK%
  3. Energy Recharge
  4. Elemental Mastery

Energy Recharge Requirements

Gaming Energy Recharge is around ~120% ER due to his low Burst (Q) cost of only 60. His Q is mainly for extra damage and healing hence it isn’t a substantial part of his kit so you should focus more on DPS stats instead of ER.

Constellation

C3 > C4 > C6

Increasing his Elemental Skill (E) by 3 levels is pretty huge considering that his Enhance Plunging Attacks are from his E talent and comes with an already high multiplier. This will be a massive increase on Gaming’s personal DPS.

C4 removes his ER needs entirely since he can self generate particles every time he uses his Enhance Plunging Attack. This means you can focus entirely on DPS stats for his build while also giving him more Burst every rotation which leads to more damage.

Massive DPS increase for Gaming’s Enhanced Plunging Attacks bringing it to Xiao’s level in terms of damage and radius. If you’re building Gaming, this is the endgame constellation to go for.

Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider CRIT Rate increased by 20% and CRIT DMG increased by 40%, and its attack radius will be increased.
