Freminet Build Guide (Patch 4.0)
Freminet’s Role and Skills
Freminet is a main DPS character specializing in dealing damage through Shattering Pressure and its damage is dependent on the stacks he’s built. His Skill (E) puts him in Pers Timer state where he’ll start building stacks through each Normal Attack (NA). Once he reaches full stack (Lvl 4 Pers Timer), he will unleash Shattering Pressure dealing physical damage. He can also prematurely unleash Shattering Pressure before reaching full stack (Lvl 4 Pers Timer).
Activate Skill (E) -> Build Stacks -> Shattering Pressure
A simplified explanation of how Freminet’s kit works
His Burst (Q), is pretty simple in which you gain extra stacks per Normal Attack (NA) and it lowers his Skill (E) cooldown throughout its duration.
How To Build Freminet
The best way to build Freminet is to build him for Physical DMG. A physical play-style Freminet will focus on building stacks to Lvl 4 Pers Timer for the highest Shattering Pressure damage. The other way is to build him for cryo damage which focuses on spamming his Skill with no stacks.
Artifact set
Pale Flame (4)
4 piece Pale Flame is easily Freminet’s BiS artifact set as he can maintain full uptime on stacks easily.
Pale Flame (2)
Bloodstained Chivalry (2)
A decent set to boost his physical damage but still falls slightly behind a 4 piece Pale Flame.
+25% Physical DMG set (2)
+18% ATK set (2)
A decent set to boost both physical and cryo damage but still falls slightly behind a 4 piece Pale Flame.
+25% Physical DMG set (2)
Golden Troupe (2)
A decent set to boost his physical and also Skill (E) damage but still falls slightly behind a 4 piece Pale Flame.
+25% Physical DMG set (2)
Emblem of Severed Fate (2)
In case you don’t have enough ER on Freminet, the 2 piece EoSF can be a decent option to run with.
Weapon
Skyward Pride (5✩)
Its Base ATK, Energy Recharge secondary stat, DMG% buff, and vacuum blades make it superior to other options. Skyward Pride’s vacuum blades benefit from Physical RES Shred (such as Superconduct). If Freminet is C2 or has low Energy Recharge Requirements this weapon is less potent due to the ER stat being less useful.
Song of Broken Pines (5✩)
Wolf’s Gravestone (5✩)
Both are good option as stat sticks however their passive doesn’t benefit Freminet much or is unreliable.
Serpent Spine (4✩)
At R5 this weapon can equal to Skyward Pride.
Prototype Archaic (4✩)
Snow-Tombed Starsilver (4✩)
Best option if you’re fully F2P as his physical build can utilize their passive and stat well.
Tidal Shadow (4✩)
Tidal Shadow can be worthwhile if Freminet’s team has an off-field healer. However, Prototype Archaic or Snow-Tombed Starsilver should be used in other cases as your free-to-play option.
Talent
C0-C6
Skill (E) > Normal Attack (NA) > Burst (Q)
Shattering Pressure is where Freminet gets the most of his damage from so you’ll wanna upgrade his Skill first. Normal Attack is used to build stacks for his Shattering Pressure so you pretty much will use it every time. Freminet’s Burst is used mainly to activate the Subnautical Hunter state, whose duration does not increase with Talent levels.
Main stat and substat
Sand: ATK%
Goblet: Physical DMG
Circlet: Crit Rate / DMG
- Energy Recharge
- Crit Rate / DMG
- ATK%
- Elemental Mastery
Although Freminet’s Burst doesn’t account for most of his damage, its still very important as it lowers his Skill cooldown and boost stacks gain for his Shattering Pressure. Aim for ~150% ER before concentrating on other stats.
Constellation
C2 > C5 > C6
This is an early theorycrafting calculation of Freminet’s constellations and its ranking. You can read more from Keqingmains Freminet’s guide.
C2
This Constellation lowers Freminet’s ER requirements by 20–25% and allows him to invest into more offensive stats. The net Energy gained is roughly the same for either playstyle (Physical or Cryo).
C5
Freminet’s Skill comprises the majority of his overall damage in both of his playstyles, which makes his C5 quite valuable.
C6
Freminet’s final Constellation basically gives him a free 36% CRIT DMG buff since he consistently triggers the aforementioned reactions.
