Fischl’s Role and Skills

Fischl function as an off-field DPS character that deals most of her damage through Oz (Fischl’s bird). A proper build Fischl can maintain a 100% uptime on Oz by rotating between her Elemental Skill (E) and Burst (Q). Oz’s attack has a 60% chance to generate 1 electro particle every hit, this makes her a decent battery especially for an eletro comp. Her biggest issue is that Oz attacks are single target making her value drops drastically when there are multiple enemies. This is an even bigger issue in the abyss when enemies are extremely tanky.

Electro DPS Fishl

There are 2 variation of artifact build for an electro Fischl. Either go 2 piece Thundering Fury 2 piece 18% ATK set (Gladiator or Shimenawa) OR 4 piece Thundersoothers. Generally it is recommended to go for the first one as it is easier to farm hence more resin efficient. However if you’re running a Taser comp, the second set will provide more damage as electro aura will be consistently present in the enemy.

Meta wise, an electro DPS Fischl would be most seen in a Taser comp. High Oz uptime, strong damage multiplier, electro particle generation and off-field presence makes Fischl crucial in this comp.

Burst (Q) and Skill (E) both summon Oz, so make sure you’re only using one at a time. Start with your Skill, use Burst for second Oz rotation and alternate. Hopefully, by the time your second/third round of Oz summoning is over, you’ll have gained enough energy to repeat the loop.

Artifact set

Golden Troupe FlowerGolden Troupe (4)

As of patch 4.0, this new Fontaine set provides a significant amount of Elemental Skill DMG% and outperforms other set options by a large margin for personal damage.

Thundering Fury FlowerGladiator's Finale Flower
Thundering Fury (2)
+18% ATK set (2)

If you don’t have a 4 piece Golden Troupe then this is Fischl’s best generalist set. Provides a large buff in her Electro DMG without needing any condition.

Thundersoother FlowerThundersoother (4)

Full Thundersoother set with outperform everything except for Golden Troupe in a full electro comp.

Shimenawa's Reminiscence FlowerGladiator's Finale Flower
+18% ATK set (2)
+18% ATK set (2)

A burst focus set. This set emphasizes a front-loaded damage and is only recommended for players with high-invest Childes who can clear content early in their melee duration. In context of the Abyss, this is Childe’s strongest high-investment set due to how strong a vaporized burst can be.

Tenacity of the Millelith FlowerTenacity of the Millelith (4)

This set trades off a portion of Fischl’s damage in return for a party wide 20% ATK buff. If you have good pieces as a result of farming Pale Flame (for Eula or otherwise) this can be a good option for her in specific teams. Fischl can benefit from the 20% ATK buff herself if she summons Oz within 3 seconds of his previous attack.

Weapon

Polar Star (5✩)

On top of buffing Fischl’s Elemental Skill (E), it also further increases her ATK as long as she performs a quick normal attack and charged attack before summoning Oz for more of it’s stacks.

Aqua Simulacra (5✩)

Pulls slightly ahead from the rest due to its passive DMG buff that is hard to not utilize.

Thundering Pulse
Skyward Harp (5✩)
Thundering Pulse (5✩)

These options are huge DPS stat sticks even though Fischl can’t fully utilize their passive.

Amos’ Bow (5✩)
Alley Hunter (4✩)
The Viridescent Hunt (4✩)

For Alley Hunter in particular, if you have it at R5 it can be of similar tier with Skyward Harp and Thundering Pulse.

Fading Twilight (4✩)

High base ATK with a passive DMG buff that can proc off-field makes this a good option for Fischl.

The Stringless (4✩)

At R5 this weapon can be stronger than Amos’ Bow / Alley Hunter / The Viridescent Hunt. This difference is enlarged in teams where Fischl can find herself triggering reactions.

Talent

C0-C6

Skill (E) > Burst (Q)

Fischl’s damage comes primarily from Oz attacks which mean that her Elemental Skill (E) will always take priority regardless of her constellations.

Main stat and substat

Sand: ATK%
Goblet: Electro DMG
Circlet: Crit Rate / DMG

  1. Crit Rate / DMG
  2. ATK%
  3. Energy Recharge
  4. Elemental Mastery

Fischl has a very traditional DPS build stat wise similar to most 1.0 characters. With no split scaling on her kit, all you need to aim is Crit Rate / DMG and ATK%.

Constellation

C6 > C3

C6

Oz duration on-field is increased by 2s and he performs coordinated attacks with your active character. This is a straight DPS increase for Fischl. The coordinated attacks by Oz also brings in more electro application meaning that you can proc more elemental reaction.

C3

Increases Fischl’s Skill (E) by 3 levels is a simple but significant increase in her DPS since she relies on her E for most of her damage.
