Eula’s Role and Skills

Eula is a Physical main DPS that specializes in dealing Physical DMG by maximizing her Lightfall and Grimheart stacks. Her Burst (Q) grants her a Lightfall Sword that follows her around for 7 seconds before exploding. During that time, any Normal Attack (NA), Elemental Skill (E), and Burst (Q) will build Lightfall stacks to increase its nuke damage.

Her Elemental Skill (E) on the other hand deals Cryo damage while also granting her a stack of Grimheart. If you hold her E, Grimheart stacks would be consumed so that surrounding opponents Physical RES and Cryo RES are decreased.

Eula’s 1st Ascension Passive will grant her 50% of the basic Physical DMG dealt by a Lightfall Sword if she consumes 2 stack of Grimheart. Meanwhile, her 4th Ascension Passive will refresh the cooldown of her E once her burst is cast and also giving her 1 stack of Grimheart.

Artifact set

Pale Flame FlowerPale Flame (4)

Pale Flame (PF) is Eula’s best set as she gains 50% Physical DMG Bonus + 18% ATK for its full effect.
Eula can easily sustain it’s 4 piece set bonus because her E cooldown is only 4 seconds when doing 1-taps while the PF stack lasts 7s and it refreshes per stack.

It is recommended to not use Eula’s Hold E until her Lightfall Sword is about to end. This restriction only applies for none C2 Eula.

This combo gives an unconditional and constant 50% Physical DMG bonus. Its easily her her 2nd option since it comes without any sort of restriction to her play-style.

A decent budget artifact set if you have trouble farming for the other 2 options.

Weapon

Song of Broken Pines (5✩)

Eula’s signature weapon is easily her best option as its the ONLY claymore in game that provides Physical DMG Bonus. Plus, its passive ATK SPD boost makes managing her stacks easier and the cooldown aligns with her rotation.

Beacon of the Reed Sea (5✩)

Eula’s 2nd best weapon is Beacon as it gives a huge offensive stat boost from its Crit Rate and passive. Beacon provide more personal damage for Eula but Broken Pines will be slightly better because it also buffs your team, increasing the team overall DPS.

If you’re running her with Bennett then it outperforms Broken Pines but the difference is marginal.

Wolf’s Gravestone (5✩)

Best universal claymore in the game. It provides the largest ATK% buff from a weapon, and is teamwide. This means that although Eula loses a bit in personal damage, she makes up by buffing her team damage. With the WGS, external ATK% buff is usually not needed anymore.

Serpent Spine (4✩)

Eula’s best 4-star weapon is the Serpent Spine (SS) as it provides a huge Crit Rate and DMG buff from its pasive. The buff from its passive that requires user to stay on-field aligns with Eula on-field play-style to build her Lightfall stack.
At R5 and full stack, it beat other 5-star options and only slightly behind Broken Pines.

Talent

C0-C6

Burst (Q) > Normal Attack (NA) > Skill (E)

Eula’s Burst (Q) is the strongest ability in her kit, and it should be prioritized, followed by her Normal Attacks (NA). Although in a perfect scenario, leveling your Q should give you the most damage all the time, NA provide consistent damage in the case you miss that explosion or fail to Crit.

Her Skill (E) is mediocre in damage. It has great utility, but its power per talent level gain is very mediocre, especially if Superconduct already brings enemies down to subzero Physical resistance, at which point all Resistance Shred value is halved.

Main stat and substat

Sand: ATK%
Goblet: Physical DMG%
Circlet: Crit Rate / DMG

  1. Crit Rate / DMG
  2. Energy Recharge
  3. ATK%
  4. Flat ATK

Eula follows a very simple DPS build without any split scaling for her damage. This means Crit, Energy and ATK would be top priority to maximize her damage.

Energy Recharge Requirements

  • Generally: ~130%
  • No battery & No Favonius: +150%
  • Battery & No Favonius: ~130%
  • Battery & Favonius: ~120%
  • Battery & Favonius & Raiden: 100%

Eula needs to maintain a good Burst (Q) uptime due to how much it contributes to her overall damage. Her team comp will a huge factor in how much ER she needs to invest in.

With a Burst cost of 80, she would pretty much run with another Cryo battery all the time. She’ll also want an Electro unit who can help her proc Superconduct for the Physical RES shred. So bonus points if that Electro unit can also act as a battery. Among them are Fischl, Raiden, Diona and Rosaria.

Constellation

C1 > C2 > C3 > C6

A very straightforward Constellation that gives you very good damage gain as you flow naturally through your rotation. You do not have to change anything with your playstyle with this Constellation, just consider it free damage. It even gains more value outside of your Burst rotation, as it can extend up to 18s, carrying well over into your Burst downtime.

Just remember, having this Constellation means you are now triply incentivized to hit that 2 stack Grimheart Hold E for the most consistent and highest damage gain possible. Don’t forget the stacks!

Every time Icetide Vortex’s Grimheart stacks are consumed, Eula’s Physical DMG is increased by 30% for 6s.
Each stack consumed will increase the duration of this effect by 6s up to a maximum of 18s.

Eula’s C1

During your Burst rotation, C2 does not change any combos. Casting E is too much of a time investment compared to just Normal Attacking, and you might lose stacks instead of gaining any.

This Constellation will see the most power when you are in Burst downtime, and stay on Eula. You net a maximum of 27 Particles/min just using Hold E off cooldown, 21% more Energy than the spamming Tap Es. However, in synergy with C1, you should still do Tap E – Tap E – Hold E for maximum damage, which nets you 24 Particles/min, 9% higher than spamming Tap Es.

Although on paper this Constellation extends more than just higher Particle generation, it is not a damage increase as your downtime is never going to be long enough to see a damage gain, assuming proper play. Think of it as a utility buff.

Decreases the CD of Icetide Vortex’s Holding Mode, rendering it identical to Tapping CD.

Eula’s C2

When half your damage comes from your Burst, a 3 level upgrade to the talent is completely cracked. Not much to say here, it is a straight damage increase.

Increases the Level of Glacial Illumination by 3.

Eula’s C3

Undeniably Eula’s strongest Constellation, it is understandable why it is a C6. Eula’s Elemental Burst caps out its damage at 30 stacks, but C6 is the only way you can hit that threshold, for the highest single-instanced, achievable damage in the game. Expect going from 13 stacks to 24-26 stacks per Burst on average.

Not only does this Constellation open up your damage ceiling, it also means you can play Eula at a much more lenient level to hit the baseline damage. You can swap earlier for the same or higher amount of stacks than at sub-C6, or play for the highest oneshot possible. This Constellation is absolutely insane.

Lightfall Swords created by Glacial Illumination start with 5 stacks of energy. Normal Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts have a 50% chance to grant the Lightfall Sword an additional stack of energy.

Eula’s C6

Eula’s Combos

Lightfall stack, Grimheart stack, talent cooldown, RES shred, bonus Lightfall damage on consuming 2 stacks of Grimheart and extra stack of Grimheart on casting Burst, they all seem pretty confusing doesn’t it? Here are the only important things you’ll need to know;

  • Never do Eula’s full 5 Normal Attack combo as the final attack is too slow. Instead either do 4 Normal and then Dash (N4D) or 4 Normal and then into Elemental Skill (N4->E).
  • Always use Eula’s Elemental Skill (E) right before casting her Burst (Q). This is so that her E will refresh immediately after her Burst.
  • Time when you cast your Burst properly. You don’t want to waste DPS by dodging or getting stunned while her Lightfall Sword is active as you won’t get any stacks. Also, enemies like the Maguu Kenki or Rifthounds either has invulnerability phase or dodge mechanic that can invalidate the Lightfall detonation.
  • Eula’s Burst does not snapshot. This means that any buffs Eula has upon casting Burst will not be taken into effect if the buff duration expires before the Lightfall Sword hits.

Hence her optimal combos are as of below;

E -> Q -> N4 -> Hold E -> N4 -> Lightfall Detonation

The best combo as it is easy and consistent

E -> Q -> Hold E -> N4D -> N4 -> Lightfall Detonation

Highest DPS combo but is near impossible to pull off
