Dendro Traveler build guide

Dendro Traveler or Dendro Main Character (DMC) functions as a support/off-field DPS character that provides EM buff to the party and Dendro application towards the enemies. Dendro MC’s Elemental Skill (E) deals a short range cone-like Dendro attack similar to Kaeya’s E skill. Their Burst (Q) creates a Lea Lotus Lamp on the field that does continuous Dendro damage onto enemies in the AOE. An important aspect of the Lea Lotus Lamp is that it will undergo changes after coming in contact with different elements.

• Hydro: the Lamp’s AoE and the AoE of its attacks are increased.
• Electro: the Lamp’s ATK SPD is increased.
• Pyro: the Lamp will explode after a short delay and then disappear, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.

1st Ascension is a huge part of Dendro MC’s support kit by increasing the Elemental Mastery of an active character in the Burst (Q) AOE by 6 every second to a maximum of 10s. So in total, a character can gain up to 60 EM.

Optimize Dendro Traveler

As Dendro Traveler’s Burst (Q) is the most important part of their kit, it is highly recommended to aim for a high Burst uptime by focusing on ER before anything else. The general ER guideline is around ~220% ER depending on your weapon and team. Simply ensure that by the time the first rotation is done Dendro MC’s Q is fully charged.

Here are a few other tips to play a better Dendro MC:

• Use E before Q to funnel particles back to Dendro MC to pre-charge their Burst.
• Aim to get Dendro MC to C2 as fast as possible as it extends the duration of Burst by 3s.
• Electro follow up by Hydro Lotus Lamp Transfiguration is the most optimal in terms of DPS.
• Pyro Lotus Lamp Transfiguration is not recommended as it loses to Electro in terms of DPS.
• There is no reason to run a non-transfigured Lotus Lamp as you would lose a huge part of Dendro MC’s Burst kit.
• Main difference between an off-field DPS and a support Dendro MC is that you would forgo ER stat to concentrate more on damage. Burst uptime is still incredibly important so ER requirement will be assumed by teammates. E.g. Raiden, another Dendro battery, etc.
