Clorinde Build Guide
Clorinde’s Role and Skills
Clorinde is an Electro on-field DPS that revolves around doing as much damage while she’s in Night Vigil state. Activating Clorinde’s Skill (E) puts her in Night Vigil where she’ll get:
- Electro infusion for NAs
- Swift Hunt (switches to her gun, shooting enemies with ranged for NAs)
- If your Bond of Life (BoL) is over 100% Max HP shoot using standard pistol attacks.
- If your Bond of Life (BoL) is under 100% Max HP her normal attacks will:
- will grant 35% BoL
- Pierce through enemies and deal increased damage
- Impale The Night (E Lunging attack)
- Recast her E during Night Vigil state to use Impale The Night.
- During Night Vigil this Skill (E) has no cooldown.
- Recasting her E clears Bond of Life (BoL), whilst thrusting towards the enemy dealing damage.
- Heals Clorinde (can only be healed by Impale The Night during Night Vigil)
- Effects are enhanced based on Bond of Life (BoL).
- Impale The Night is considered as NA
Clorinde’s Burst (Q) grants herself a large amount of Bond of Life (BoL) whilst dealing a large amount of AOE Electro damage. In short while she’s in Night Vigil, you’ll wanna use her NA to deal damage and building BoL together with E Lunging attack (Impale The Night) to use the BoL for damage and personal healing.
Artifact set
Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy (4)
Clorinde’s BiS
Easily Clorinde’s best set as its the only BoL artifact for characters using BoL. FoHW is ~10% better than her other options.
At max stack, the artifact can give up to 54% DMG increases. Its stack is increased whenever the Bond of Life of the wielder changes.
Gladiator’s Finale (4)
A full Gladiator will be Clorinde’s 2nd best set since she uses a lot of NAs while in her Night Watch state. In addition, Impale The Night (Enhanced E Thrust Attack) is also considered as NA meaning that she can fully benefit from the set effect during her rotation.
Echoes of Offering (4)
Technically, Echoes is ~3% better than a Gladiator but is very inconsistent as the activation of the buff (Valley Rite) relies on player’s ping. Similar to Gladiator, the set is specifically designed to buff user who uses a lot of NAs.
If your ping is (<100ms) then you can consider using it, otherwise its not recommended.
Thundering Fury (4)
Theorycrafting suggests that TF potentially can be Clorinde’s best set under specific conditions. TF gives a damage boost onto Electro reaction and decreases the E cooldown every time an Electro reaction happens.
Ideally you’ll wanna run Clorinde for a Quicken team with Fischl and Nahida for a +25s rotation. The rotation time allows Clorinde to use her E twice which also favors Fischl since she can cast Oz twice.
Weapon
Absolution (5✩)
Clorinde’s sword
Clorinde’s signature sword comes with a base 674 ATK and 44% Crit DMG. Its passive further provides another 20% Crit DMG and increasing BoL will increase wielder’s damage by 16%. This can stack up 3 times and only Clorinde can utilize this passive since she’s the only sword user with BoL mechanic.
The Black Sword (4✩)
Clorinde’s best 4-star weapon since most of her damage is through her Normal Attacks (NA). Black Sword passive provides up to 40% damage buff onto NAs and comes with a Crit Rate secondary stat. Also remember that Clorinde’s Impale The Night (Her Enhanced E Thrust Attack) while she in Night Vigil is considered as NA so it will benefit from the passive.
Finale of the Deep (5✩)
Her best ‘F2P’ weapon since it provides ATK buff based on the user’s BoL. Clorinde can easily activate the weapons passive when she clears all her BoL when recasting E.
Talent
C0-C6
Skill (E) > Burst (Q) > Normal Attack (NA)
Clorinde talent priority should be her E followup by Q. Her NA talent doesn’t actually do anything for her gun shots in Swift Hunt (after activating E), since the shots scale from E.
Her attacks from Night Vigil stance (Swift Hunt gun shots & Impale The Night) are considered as NA but the damage multiplier comes from her E talent. This means that for talent priority you’ll focus on E while artifact and weapon is anything that benefits NA.
In fact, realistically you don’t even need to upgrade her NA since you would only use her in Night Vigil stance.
Main stat and substat
Sand: ATK%
Goblet: Electro DMG%
Circlet: Crit DMG
- Crit DMG
- Energy Recharge
- ATK% / CRIT Rate
- Flat ATK
- Elemental Mastery
Clorinde needs more Crit DMG (CD) than Crit Rate (CR) due to having ~40% CR from her bonus ascension stat and A4. This would lead her to overcap CR easily hence why CD will take priority.
Energy Recharge Requirements
- Fischl & Favonius: 100%
- Fischl only: ~120%
- Other Electro & Favonius: ~120%
- Solo Electro (Clorinde only): +140%
