Cheapest way to buy Genesis Crystals in Genshin

Genesis Crystals is the premium currency used for in-game purchases in Genshin Impact. The primary use of Genesis Crystals is to convert them into Primogems as they are used for Wishes, which lets you roll for new characters and weapons.

Official Channels

There are only a few methods players can buy Genesis Crystals at a discounted rate from Hoyoverse and even then, most requires players to commit to daily logins and weekly quests to obtain them.

1. Initial Top-Up Bonus: First time buyers of the Genesis Crystals bundle will always receive double the amount of Genesis. This is shown in the store as “Bonus” and will get refresh on 27th September every year during Genshin’s Anniversary. Its one of the reason why most players will buy the Genesis Bundle before the Initial Top-Up Bonus Reset.
2. Battle Pass: Once the Initial Top-Up Bonus is gone, BP is objectively the 2nd best way to obtain Genesis Crystals at a 1,320 Primogems for $10 USD. This means its 500% efficiency relative to a 3,280 Genesis Crystal or 6,480 Genesis Crystal bundle.
3. Blessing of the Welkin Moon: Since the primary usage of Genesis is to convert them into Primogems which are later used for Wishes, Welkin gives the best value in terms of money spent to Primos. It gives a total of 300 Genesis Crystals & 2,700 Primogems for $5 USD with the only caveat is you’ll have to log in every day for a month to claim them.

3rd party methods

Unofficial methods are the cheapest and fastest way to obtain a large amount of Genesis Crystals instantly. They technically violate Hoyo’s Terms of Service (TOS) but since Hoyoverse doesn’t actually enforce them, it lies within the gray area and players has been using them since the beginning.

1. Regional Pricing: Players can exploit the regional pricing difference by using VPN and buying through Hoyoverse directly. Similar to the in-game store, you can purchase both Genesis and Welkin through Hoyo’s website but the price will change depending on the detected region.
   This means that if you set your location to Japan with the VPN, the price for Genesis will switch to JP pricing.
   You can even check the price difference between regions using the Genshin’s Fandom site with Malaysia and Japan being the cheapest.
2. Marketplaces: Many 3rd-party marketplaces such as Eldorado.gg offers Genshin top up in the form of Genesis and Welkin at a discounted rate. This is ONLY way to buy Genesis for the cheapest price point compared to any other method.
   These sites connects you to various sellers and you can check on their reviews, ratings, deliverability and reputability. You’ll only need to provide your UID and Server Region so that they know which account to send the item over. In some cases, you can get up to 30% discount on Genesis Crystals.

In-Game

1. Events: Every patch brings new limited-time events for players to earn rewards such as Primogems, Moras, Ascension materials, and more!
2. Spiral Abyss: This is pretty much the endgame content for hardcore players with a well build team. It is notoriously difficult and refreshes every 14 days but if you manage to achieve 36 stars, you can earn an extra 600 Primogems during the Abyss rotation.
3. Story & Companion Quest: Completing quests specifically the ones relating to the main Story and Companion will always reward you with Primogems.
4. Exploration: Exploring the world and completing puzzles will also give out Primos albeit in small quantities.
