Bennett’s Role and Skills

Bennett serves many roles due to how his kit is designed hence why newer players might get confused how they’re supposed to specialize his build. Specifically in a meta perspective, he excels at being a Burst Support as he can both boost his entire team damage by an absurd amount and also heal them. The most important thing to remember is that Bennett’s Burst (Q) can snapshot, meaning that if you activate a character’s skill inside of his Burst (Q) AOE, the character retains the buff even after you’ve left the field. More about snapshot here. This buff becomes even more insane once you have a high constellation Bennett particularly at C1 and C5. Its one of the reason why all character damage showcase videos will inevitable have a Bennett in the team and why he is invaluable for endgame comp and builds.

How To Build Bennett

Bennett best meta endgame build is as a Support character specializing in providing ATK buff and healing to anyone in his Burst. His build is rather straightforward, you’ll only focus on giving increasing his base attack so that his Burst (Q) can give the highest damage buff. Prioritize his Burst (Q) over anything else and use the 4 piece Noblesse Oblige will give another damage buff when his Q is used. Beside that the only way to improve this build is by obtaining a high constellation Bennett particularly at C1 and C5.

Artifact set

Noblesse Oblige FlowerNoblesse Oblige (4)

Bennett’s best artifact set by far. Provides ATK buff towards entire team when he Burst which should be every rotation.

Emblem of Severed Fate FlowerEmblem of Severed Fate (4)

Decent set mainly due to ER buff and also slightly increase Bennett’s Burst DMG.

Crimson Witch FlowerCrimson Witch of Flames (4)

If Bennett is acting as a DPS in a reaction team comp, this set would be his best set as it boost his personal damage.

Tenacity of the Millelith FlowerTenacity of the Millelith (4)

This set can be used to increase Bennett’s healing, while also providing a brief but nonetheless appreciable buff for character that snapshot and consequently make a good use of it.

+Energy Recharge set (2)
+DMG set (2)
+EM set (2)

If you don’t have any full set, you can always mix different sets together. Concentrate on a 2 piece that helps in Energy Recharge first as getting his Burst up every rotation is top priority.

Weapon

Mistsplitter Reforged (5✩)

Highest base ATK Sword in the game meaning that helps Bennett’s Burst provide a bigger ATK buff. Also has Crit DMG as the secondary stat increasing Bennett’s personal damage.

Aquila Favonia (5✩)

Also has the highest base ATK in the game similar to Mistsplitter, though Bennett does not benefit from the weapon’s substat so it slightly falls behind Mistsplitter.

Skyward Blade (5✩)

Decent base ATK and ER secondary stat helps in ER requirements.

The Alley Flash (4✩)

Highest base ATK in the game for a 4* weapon, greater than even some 5*s. A good budget option for maximizing Bennett’s base ATK buff.

Sapwood Blade (4✩)

Leaf of Consciousness generated by this weapon passive can provide EM buff for team that relies on reactionary DMG.

Prototype Rancour (4✩)

This weapon has one of the highest Base ATK for a 4 Star weapon that can be crafted from the Blacksmith.

Festering Desire (4✩)

Early event reward weapon that was designed for Bennett. Provides boost in ER and personal DMG but isn’t his best option when you’re building him for the buff provided from his Burst.

Talent

C0-C6

Burst (Q) > Skill (E)

Similar to other support characters, you would be building Bennett primarily for his ATK buff from his Burst (Q). Hence it will take priority over anything else. Even at C6 there is no reason to invest in his Normal Attack (NA) as its multipliers are so low.

REMEMBER at C6, anyone inside of Bennett’s Q will gain pyro infusion and pyro damage buff. This means that activating it may break some team composition that doesn’t want the infusion. On the other side of the spectrum, mono pyro teams such as Lyney or Klee benefits from his C6 as it gives a substantial boost from the pyro damage buff!

Main stat and substat

Sand: Energy Recharge / HP%
Goblet: HP%
Circlet: Healing Bonus / HP%

  1. Energy Recharge
  2. HP%
  3. Flat HP

Due to how valuable Bennett’s Burst is, ER will always take priority over anything else. His Burst should always be ready every rotation or there isn’t a point to have him in your team. Once ER is satisfied, you should concentrate on HP to maximize his healing capability.

Constellation

C1 > C6* > C5

C1 Bennett will always be his best constellation due to the removal of the HP restriction from his Burst. This means that you would always be healing and buffing the person inside his Burst instead of one or the other. On top of that, you’ll gain an additional 20% ATK buff!

As of patch 4.0 (Fontaine), most of the strongest meta team are not affected by the pyro infusion from Bennett’s C6 due to each on-field DPS having their own elemental infusion that cannot be override. Nevertheless, you should still check if it might affect your favorite team before activating it.
